6# Bormann cannon ball converted to solid shot! This is a cool oddity and you can bet this is no Yankee modifacation. Dug at Shiloh years ago by a local digger in that area. Diggers name will be given to the new owner. Once recovered it was drilled through the fuze and then found to be full of lead. The fuze is long gone but there is still plenty of lead in the ball. You can clearly see the threads of the underplug. If you like the unusual finds then you'll like this. Priced right. SOLD

Large lead cast letter "C". This super cool relic is a bit of a mystery. The soldier would outline the shape of an object, remove the dirt or sand and pour hot lead into the shape. The result would be an item such as this. The designation or use of this item is unknown. We simply call this "soldier art". Found May 30, 2007 in Lagrange, Tennessee. A .58 three ringer shown for scale. SOLD
French model 1840 rifled musket. This .71 caliber musket bears the makers mark on the stock as well as the lockplate. Has the rack number on the stock as well as an old carving that I can't make out. Probably initials. The 1862 Confederate ordinance manual describes these rifles. Believed to have entered the port of Savanah, Georgia Sept. 16, 1861. 36,000 of these were imported. Designed to shoot the round ball or the minie. Action is very tight and crisp. Dark even tone to the wood and the metal. Cool looking musket at a reasonable price. Sold
US buckle on regulation belt. Leather is strong and pliable with the wear you would expect. Light, chocolate patina on the arrow hook buckle with full lead on the reverse.
An ages old, clean break in the back of the leather that had a very nice repair. Displays great. SOLD
Scarce model 1858 Starr double action .36 caliber Navy revolver in good condition. Only 3000 of the these revolvers were produced between 1858 and 1860. This is a good, solid example with a smooth, dark gray tone to 97% plus of the metal. The original, dark walnut grips are solid and display the usual wear you would expect. The state of Ohio purchased 500 Starr Navys during the war and we know the 2nd. Ohio were issued these. Matching serial numbers throughout of 2739. Action is crisp and indexs well in single action. The double action feature is not responding but may with adjustment. It is missing the loading lever catch but that would be an easy fix. I'll leave these decisions up to the new owner. The top of one nipple broke off flush ages ago but the remainders are intact. Frame markings read:"Starr Arms Co. New York". "Starrs Patent Jan. 15 1856". Flaydermans describes this revolver as follows: "The Navy model is the most difficult Starr to acquire due to it's limited production in comparison with the Armys 23,000 produced". If you're wanting a rare revolver for your collection but not wanting to shell out several thousand then here it is. SOLD

French made diplomatic sword. This sword was dug near a Confederate fort in North Carolina. Remnants of the leather remain along with the brass throat with great, gold gilt there as well. Triangular blade is rusted but amazingly intact from riccaso to tip. Would look great mounted on a light gray piece of barn wood. I hate to see this one go! Very cool piece of history from North Carolina.
